We have just completed the first ever surflifesaving training at Surin Beach Phuket with the support of the Surin local administration. This is the first time locals in this area have ever been trained in surflifesaving. The people trained included fishermen, beach vendors, local villagers and jetski operators in Surin. The training we offered followed standard Surflifesaving principles, trained by professional Thai lifeguards certified to Australian gold medallion level.

This training included learning the basic skills and competencies required to equip participants to understand principles of beach management and how to use rescue equipment and assist a patient in distress. A picture tells a thousand words. See how we managed:
